SHOOTING SUSPECT NOW FACING 2ND DEGREE MURDER CHARGES
Continuing to follow a story we brought you first, a Poplar Bluff man is now facing murder charges in the shooting death of his former brother-in-law.
According to authorities, the shooting occurred back on October 24, in the parking lot of Poplar Bluff’s Regional Medical Center Behavioral Health Unit. The victim 52 year-old Mitchell Dugger, of Broseley, was shot multiple times, transferred to a Cape Girardeau hospital, and later died on October 27.
58 year-old Edward Skorcz, of Poplar Bluff, is charged with 2nd Degree Murder, and has since been released posing bond. Skorcz is due back in court this morning at 8 AM.
HIS PLACE FELLOWSHIP IN DONIPHAN TO HOLD CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR
His Place Fellowship in Doniphan will be hosting their first annual Christmas Craft Fair in early December.
There will be multiple types of crafts at the fair, including ceramics, textiles, quilting, jewelry, ornaments, and more. In addition the crafts, there will also be door prizes, an auction, and games for kids.

MULTIPLE AREAS ON ROUTE 67 IN BUTLER COUNTY TO BE REDUCED BEGINNING TODAY
Multiple areas of North and Southbound Route 67 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane with a 16-ft. width restriction beginning today so contractor crews can perform bridge guardrail and guard cable maintenance.
The work zones are located from Route PP to Route M and from County Road 401 to Route JJ.
Work is scheduled to be performed from 6 am to 7 pm daily through Saturday, December 5th.
POPLAR BLUFF WOMAN ARRESTED ON SEVERAL DRUG CHARGES
A Poplar Bluff woman is facing several drug charges following her arrest, Saturday afternoon in Butler County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 30 year old Crystal Weaver was arrested, shortly before noon, on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.
Weaver is also being charged with possession of a controlled substance inside a correctional facility and possession of marijuana.
POSSIBLE HEAVY RAINS MOVES INTO THE AREA TONIGHT THUR TUESDAY NIGHT
The National Weather Service is warning Southeast Missouri residents to be aware of a storm system coming into the area today.

Polous also says after this event, we should see a few dry days, before a weaker storm system moves back into the area for the upcoming weekend.
TWIN RIVERS PROJECT GRADUATION TO HOST PANCAKE BREAKFAST
The Princess and Pirate Pancake Breakfast has been scheduled for 9 am to 11 am on Saturday, December 5th at the Elks Lodge in Poplar Bluff.
Tickets are available for $20 in advance and a ticket will include breakfast, games, activities, and a free picture. One parent will get in free per child ticket and children are encouraged to come dressed as a princess or pirate. Tickets will also be available at the door for $25.

4TH ANNUAL SANTA RUN SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 5TH
The 4th Annual Santa Run will be held on December 5th in Ellsinore.
The 5k will start at 10 am, with the 1 mile walk/run beginning at 10:30 am and a 100m Reindeer Dash will follow at 11 am.
All proceeds to benefit the Brodie Gargac Memorial Ball Field. Brodie Gargac was diagnosed with Lymphoma in 2008 and later with Leukemia. The nine year old had his wish granted by the Make a Wish Foundation to have a ball field like the pros in his hometown of Ellsinore.
