ONE KILLED IN WRECK NEAR POPLAR BLUFFCrews were on the scene of a fatal wreck this morning south of Poplar Bluff.
The wreck reportedly occurred near Ozark Border Electric Cooperative on South Westwood Boulevard. Butler County Coroner Jim Akers has confirmed to us that 39 year old, Jeff Galindo, of Poplar Bluff, was killed in the wreck.

KENNETT POLICE OFFICERS RESPOND TO REPORTED THREAT OF AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE Authorities in Kennett are investigating a threat of an explosive device.
Officials with the Kennett Police Department tell us that on Tuesday officers were dispatched to Beaton Street in reference to a reported threat of an explosive device in the area.
The threat was deemed to be unfounded; however officials say that the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone who has information regarding the incident is being urged to contact the Kennett Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.
ARREST MADE IN CONNECTION TO BURGLARY AT MALDEN HISTORICAL MUSEUM Authorities in Malden have made an arrest in connection to a burglary at the Malden Historical Museum.
According to the Malden Police Department, 31 year old Mark Hinklin, of Malden, has been formally charged with burglary and felony stealing.
Hinklin was transferred to the Dunklin County Justice Center and his bond was set at $35,000.
DONIPHAN SCHOOL DISTRICT TO HAVE JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL THIS FALL Football will be coming back to Doniphan this fall.
The Doniphan School Board approved a plan earlier this week that will have a Junior High team play a shortened four game schedule during the new school year.
The team will play all four games on the road.
Tryouts for the team will begin in August.
TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO METHAMPHETAMINE ARREST A Wednesday traffic stop led to the arrest of a Malden resident.
According to authorities, officers conducted the stop shortly before 3 pm Wednesday. During the stop, officers arrested 27 year old Danielle Price for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Following the arrest, Price was taken to the Dunklin County Justice Center on a 24 hour hold, pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office.
KENNETT MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN HEAD ON COLLISION A Kennett man was taken to a Memphis hospital Wednesday following a head on collision in Dunklin County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred when a vehicle driven by 18 year old Caleb Wilcox crossed the center line of a highway and struck another vehicle head on.
The driver of the second vehicle, 56 year old Jesus Rivera, suffered serious injuries and was taken by Life Flight to Elvis Presley Trauma Center. Wilcox was transported to Twin Rivers Medical Center with minor injuries.
NEW DAY MINISTRIES TO HOST FEED AND SEED EVENT New Day Ministries in Poplar Bluff will be hosting a feed and seed event today from 3 to 5 pm.
The event is first come, first serve, and packs will be limited to one per family or household. New Day Ministries is located at 703 Franklin Street on the south side of Poplar Bluff.

OVER 50 STUDENTS HONORED AT THREE RIVERS STUDENT EXCELLENCE AWARDS Over 50 of the highest performing Three Rivers College students were recognized during a ceremony last week.
The Three Rivers College Annual Student Excellence Awards ceremony was held on May 13th. Winners were chosen to represent each academic department and career education program, the Three Rivers external locations, honor society students, and major student organizations.
To be eligible to receive an Academic Excellence Award, a student must have completed at least 15 credit hours and have a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
