FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY IN EFFECT THROUGH 6 PM TONIGHT A freezing rain advisory has been issued for most of Southeast Missouri through 6 pm tonight.

According to the National Weather Service, a glaze of one to two tenths of an inch of ice is likely in most areas, while some of our northern listening areas could receive close to a quarter of an inch of ice.

If you have to be on the roadways this morning, be prepared for slick roads, especially on secondary and untreated roads. Remember to slow down and use caution while driving. Sidewalks and parking lots may also be very slick if not treated.

You can check road conditions in your area on the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Traveler Information Map, which is available at modot.org.
