BUFFALO WILD WINGS IN POPLAR BLUFF TO DONATE PORTION OF SALES TODAY TO RECOVERY EXPENSES OF MARTEZ JANIS Anybody who eats at the Buffalo Wild Wings location in Poplar Bluff today will also be helping the recovery efforts of Martez Janis.

Janis is a Poplar Bluff student who was severely injured in a car wreck last month that resulted in the deaths of three other students.

KWOC News spoke with Becky Johnson, Regional Manager with Buffalo Wild Wings, about the fundraiser.

BECKY JOHNSON:

Today we're taking the opportunity to give back to the community with an “Eat Wings, Raise Funds” to rally around Martez Janis, who was recently involved in a tragedy. He's a survivor and we want to do our part to give back to him and his family to help them with recovery expenses, so we're giving back 10% of all the proceeds made today to help his family with whatever expenses they may have moving forward through his recovery process. This idea came about because Buffalo Wild Wings has a program called “Eat Wings, Raise Funds” and it's an opportunity for us to give some of our proceeds to an organization or a family or a person in need in the community. So whenever we found out about the tragedy that Poplar Bluff had suffered this was the perfect opportunity for us to give back to that family. So come out to Buffalo Wild Wings today. Let us know you're here to support Martez Janis recovery efforts with “Eat Wings, Raise Funds” and we’ll give 10% back to his family. Buffalo Wild Wings loves to support our local community any chance we get so come out to support our “Eat Wings, Raise Funds” event today for Martez Janis all day long, from open 10:30 a.m. till close at midnight tonight.

KWOC will be broadcasting live from Buffalo Wild Wings from 11 am until 1 pm.
