DONIPHAN POLICE INVESTIGATING ARMED ROBBERYAuthorities in Doniphan say a suspect is at large following an armed robbery at an area convenience store.

According to the Doniphan Police Department, a subject entered Casey’s General Store shortly after 4 am Saturday and demanded money from the register. The suspect then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police say the suspect was dressed in camouflage and had a handgun.

TWO ARRESTED ON SEX RELATED WARRANTS IN WAYNE COUNTY Two people from St. Ann, Missouri were taken into custody over the weekend in Wayne County on a sex related warrant.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 38 year old Heather Smith was arrested Friday night shortly after 10:30 pm. The next afternoon 34 year old Robert Smith was also arrested.

Both had a felony warrant from Troy, New York Police Department for criminal sexual act.

 

DEXTER MAN ARRESTED ON FIREARM WARRANT A Dexter man has been taken into custody on a firearm warrant.

According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 25 year old Kyle Hargrave was arrested on warrants for unlawful possession of a firearm and a probation violation.

The bond for the firearm charge was set at $5,000, while no bond was listed for the probation violation.

 

LOWNDES WOMAN FACING MULTIPLE FELONY CHARGES FOLLOWING ARREST IN WAYNE COUNTY Authorities in Wayne County arrested a Lowndes woman Saturday night on multiple felony charges.

According to authorities, 26 year old Tara Rogers is facing felony charges of possession of a controlled substance for methamphetamine and prescription medication along with 1st degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Rogers is also charged with possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

 

TWO POPLAR BLUFF RESIDENTS ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGE Two Poplar Bluff residents were arrested Saturday night on a drug charge.

According to the Highway Patrol, 47 year old Lee Abraham and 31 year old Christina Collier were each arrested in Butler County on charges of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Abraham is also facing charges of driving while intoxicated – drugs and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

 

METH REPORTEDLY FOUND DURING TRAFFIC STOP IN SCOTT COUNTY Authorities in Scott County reportedly found meth during a traffic stop.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter tells us that a deputy stopped 30 year old James Groves, of Sikeston, on Saturday for a traffic violation.

During the stop, a K9 unit alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. A deputy conducted a search and located a glass smoking pipe with residue, and a plastic bag with a white crystal like substance.

The smoking pipe and the white crystal like substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Groves was taken to the Scott County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

DRAINAGE REPAIRS TO BEGIN TODAY IN DUNKLIN COUNTY The Missouri Department of Transportation says Route 412 in Dunklin County will be reduced to one lane over two days so crews can perform drainage repairs

The section of roadway to be affected is located between Main Street and Route C.

Work is scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both today and tomorrow.
