TWO SOUGHT IN CONNECTION TO BODY FOUND IN BLYTHEVILLE

Two suspects are being sought in connection to a body found earlier this week at a home in Blytheville.

According to authorities, 27 year old Yuri McKeever was found dead Wednesday morning.

Police are looking for 24 year old Michael Jackson and 21 year old Michael King. Officials say that the two men are being considered armed and extremely dangerous.

MAN ARRESTED IN NORTHEAST ARKANSAS ON SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGE

A man has been taken into custody in Northeast Arkansas on a sexual assault charge.

According to Greene County Sheriff David Carter, Christopher Angelina has been arrested by the Greene County Criminal Investigation Division for sexual assault 4th degree.

Carter says Angelina is in custody awaiting his court date on June 29th.

 

 

DEXTER MAN ARRESTED ON ASSAULT AND ARMED CRIMINAL ACTION WARRANT

Stoddard County authorities say a Dexter man has been taken into custody on an assault warrant.

According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 33 year old Ryan Blake Jones was recently arrested on a warrant for 2nd degree assault and armed criminal action.

Jones bond was set at $35,000 cash and authorities say he remained in jail as of Friday morning.

 

 

POPLAR BLUFF KIWANIS CLUB WINS $25,000 FOR NEW PLAYGROUND

An area agency has won $25,000 for a new playground.

The Kiwanis Club of Poplar Bluff was chosen from a group of 40 organizations for the money which will go to build and install an all inclusive playground.

Officials say the playground will be built at Kiwanis Bacon Memorial Park next year.

 

 

BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED FOR NAYLOR

A Boil Water advisory for the city of Naylor is now over.

The initial advisory was issued on June 2nd due to a busted water main.

City officials tell us that the advisory was then lifted on Thursday.

 

 

ARKANSAS MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN DIRT BIKE WRECK NEAR POPLAR BLUFF An Arkansas man was injured late last night in a dirt bike wreck near Poplar Bluff.

Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell us that 37 year old James Smith, of Pollard, Arkansas, was riding a dirt bike on County Road 450 in Butler County when the bike travelled off the roadway and struck a rock.

Smith, who was reportedly not wearing a safety device, was taken by ambulance to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

 

 

2nd ANNUAL OUTDOORSMEN WITH A MISSION FIVE STAND SKEET SHOOT SCHEDULED FOR THIS WEEKEND

The second annual Outdoorsmen with a Mission Five Stand Skeet Shoot has been scheduled for this weekend.

The event will be held from 7:30 am to 4 pm Saturday at Black River Ranch in Poplar Bluff. Concessions and a bake sale will also be available at the event.

Organizers say 100 percent of the proceeds will go to benefit Matt Deaton and his family. Deaton was diagnosed with kidney disease at the age of four. Due to the severity of his kidney disease, Deaton is not eligible for a transplant and has been on dialysis for a year.
