BODY RECOVERED FROM A POND ON THE BUTLER/STODDARD COUNTY LINEAuthorities have recovered a body from a pond on the Butler/Stoddard County line.
According to Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs, a body and a vehicle was recovered on Friday evening at approximately 7 PM. The pond is located near the intersection of Highway 60 and Highway 51. Sheriff Dobbs would go on to add there is a “strong possibility” the body recovered is that of 50 year old Timothy Harbin. Harbin has been missing for about 2 months.

PEDESTRIAN STRUCK AND KILLED ON US 60 IN STODDARD COUNTY A pedestrian was struck and killed over the weekend near Dexter.
Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell us that 42 year old Jason McCollom, of Sikeston, was walking in the driving lane of US 60 around midnight Friday night when he was hit by a vehicle. McCollum was later pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to a Dexter hospital.
ROUTE M IN RIPLEY COUNTY TO BE CLOSED TODAY AND TOMORROW Route M in Ripley County will be closed so Missouri Department of Transportation crews can perform a pavement overlay.
Work is scheduled to take place today and tomorrow from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
During the repairs, Route M will be open to local traffic only from Route 160 to County Road M-3 South.
DEXTER MAN FACING METH AND MARIJUANA CHARGES OUT OF BUTLER COUNTY A Dexter woman is facing multiple charges in connection to her arrest early Sunday morning in Butler County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 30 year old Amber Medlin was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Following the arrest, Medlin was transported to the Butler County Justice Center.
ONE DEAD FOLLOWING SINGLE VEHICLE WRECK IN NEW MADRID COUNTY One man is dead in connection to a single vehicle wreck Saturday morning in New Madrid County.
According to authorities, the wreck occurred on Levee Road 976, west of New Madrid. A vehicle driven by 67 year old Ronnie Nance, of Monette, Arkansas, ran off the side of the road and overturned.
Nance was pronounced dead at the scene.
PAVEMENT REPAIR PROJECT TO BEGIN TODAY IN STODDARD COUNTY Route ZZ in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane through next week while Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
The work zone is located from US 60 to Route H.
Weather permitting, work will take place from 6 am to 5 pm daily through Wednesday, June 22nd.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
ROYALS DRAFT KAMERON MISNER IN THE 33RD ROUND Defending World Champions Kansas City Royals have drafted the recent Poplar Bluff graduate Kameron Misner as the 1,003rd overall pick Saturday in the Major League Baseball draft.
Misner will now have a decision to make, he signed earlier this year to play for the University of Missouri. Poplar Bluff Baseball Coach Steve Edwards tells KWOC News “whichever way he goes he’s going to have millions of Misner’s fans supporting him either way.”
Misner was also named a finalist for Semoball Baseball Player of the Year. In three high school seasons he played in over 71 games batted .400, 10 home runs, had 83 hits, and had 58 RBI’s. On the mound, Misner had a 1.71 career ERA.
