NAME RELEASED OF VICTIM KILLED IN ELLINGTON SHOOTING
Authorities have released the name of the person that died following a shooting in Reynolds County on Wednesday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, three people were shot at a residence located west of Ellington. One of the victims, 72 year old Janet Nance, of Ellington, later died at a St. Louis hospital.
The other two victims, an 86 year old male and a 73 year old female, have been hospitalized.
A suspect vehicle in the case was described as a blue mid-size sedan possibly occupied by two white males.

10 YEAR OLD GIRL SERIOUSLY INJURED IN WRECK NEAR SIKESTON
A child from Sikeston was seriously injured in a wreck Thursday.
Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell KWOC News that the wreck occurred at around 1 pm when a vehicle turned into the path of another vehicle on Highway 60 in New Madrid County.
A 10 year old girl in the second vehicle received serious injuries in the wreck and was transported to an area hospital. The driver of the second vehicle received minor injuries and no injuries were listed for the driver of the first vehicle.
TODAY IS THE 8TH ANNUAL BUTLER COUNTY COMMUNITY OUTREACH DAY
Today is the 8th annual Community Outreach Day in Poplar Bluff.
The event, presented by the Poplar Bluff Community Outreach Coalition, is a one stop shop where individuals and families in need can have access to services and assistance.
Admission to the event is free from 10 am to 2 pm at the Black River Coliseum.
Some of the services include mental health services, medical screenings, clothing, haircuts, and assistance and education about nutrition.

BROSELEY HOMECOMING SET FOR THIS WEEKEND
The annual Broseley Homecoming has been set for tomorrow at the Broseley Senior Center.
The Homecoming parade will begin at 10 am. Other events scheduled include breakfast at 7 am and the Miss Broseley Beauty Pageant at 2 pm. There will also be multiple vendors and live music.

SOUTHEAST MISSOURI SHERIFF ATTENDS SERIES OF MEETINGS AT WHITE HOUSE
Two county officials from Southeast Missouri were in Washington D.C. this week for a series of meetings at the White House.
Carter County Sheriff Richard Stephens and Carter County Clerk Leona Stephens attended the meetings with numerous senior staff and administrative members.
Sheriff Stephens says they discussed major issues facing the county’s citizens during the meetings.
OFFICIALS IN MARBLE HILL REPORTING SCAM PHONE CALLS CLAIMING TO COME FROM BOLLINGER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Officials in Bollinger County are warning residents to be on guard for a possible scam phone call.
According to the Marble Hill Police Department, persons are contacting residents of Marble Hill, pretending to be health office employees, and requesting personal information.
If you receive a telephone call from a person claiming to represent the Bollinger County Health Office and are asked any personal information, contact the health office yourself and verify that the call was genuine.
