The undefeated Poplar Bluff Mules will be taking on the Jackson Indians tonight with a chance to go to the district finals on the line.
The Class 5, District 1 semi-final between the Mules and the Indians will kick off at 7 pm at the Mules Football Stadium here in Poplar Bluff.
Because this is a MSHSAA Semifinal Playoff Game, admission is $7.00. Booster Passes, Skybox Tickets, Field Box Tickets, Reserved Seat Tickets, Letterman Cards, and Employee/Staff Sign-in Sheets will not be honored. Skybox, Field Box and Reserved Seat holders will be allowed to sit in their normal seat, but they must pay $7.00 to get in the game
KWOC News spoke with Poplar Bluff Superintendent Scott Dill about the parking situation for tonight’s game.
“We’re expecting a large crowd with the 7 p.m. kickoff featuring our undefeated Poplar Bluff Mules versus the Jackson Indians. Now we would appreciate if as many fans as possible could carpool to this game to make maximum use of our parking lot spaces.
And this will free up spaces for our friends from Jackson as well that are coming over. Now in the event that our on campus parking lots do become full, our friends at Fellowship General Baptist Church located at 3581 North Westwood Boulevard are allowing us to use their parking lot for overflow parking.
Now we also will have our transport people running school buses as shuttles this evening from Fellowship General Baptist Church down to the school parking lot.
So please feel free to take advantage of that service that they have generously made available to us. We're certainly appreciative of their efforts and we wish our boys good luck tonight.”
For anyone attending the game, the Black River Coliseum is offering a discounted ticket rate to see Chris Janson in Concert after 9:00 pm tonight. The discounted ticket price will be $10 cash at the door. You will need to show your District Football Game ticket stub to get the discount at the Coliseum Box Office window.
Prior to the game, we will be holding the Dermatology Office and Rejuv-Esthetics Mules Tailgate Party outside the stadium beginning at 5 pm. Anyone who can’t make it to the game can hear it live on Today’s Talk 93.3 FM and 930 AM KWOC and online at KWOC.com.
