WOMAN FOUND DEAD FOLLOWING RIPLEY COUNTY FIRE
A woman was found dead following a trailer fire over the weekend in Southeast Missouri.
According to authorities, 33 year old Letha Neeley was inside a trailer that caught fire Sunday morning north of Doniphan.
Authorities do not suspect that foul play was involved and an investigation into the fire has been started.
PORTAGEVILLE POLICE SEARCHING FOR MAN IN CONNECTION TO INCIDENT OVER THE WEEKEND
Police in Portageville are searching for a Cape Girardeau man in connection to an incident over the weekend.
According to the Portageville Police Department, on Saturday officers were dispatched to a residence in reference to a person with a firearm. When they arrived, the victims told officers that a black male had kicked open the front door and struck a female in the head with a handgun.
The victims told police the suspect had fled the area with three children in the vehicle with him.
Officers later located the suspect’s vehicle; the suspect was not in the area, but all three children were found safe.
A search is underway for 38 year old Antwoine Donte Weakly, of Cape Girardeau, for charges of burglary 1st degree, domestic assault 1st degree, unlawful use of weapon, and armed criminal action.

OAK GROVE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS RUN LAPS TO HELP THOSE IN NEED
Students at a Poplar Bluff elementary school were running Friday to help people in need.
The 12th annual Jingle Jog of Oak Grove Elementary School was held on Friday, December 15th.
Students adopted the Mule Pack program as this year's cause, donating about 400 non-perishables to Chartwells School Dining Services plus raising an additional $140.
The top fundraising students were awarded a sleigh ride with Santa and Mrs. Claus during the opening parade.
SIKESTON MAN BEING SOUGHT FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPY WARRANT
Authorities in Sikeston are trying to locate a man on a child pornography warrant.
Sergeant Jon Broom with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety tells KWOC News that 37 year old Jonas Benjamin Carter, of Sikeston, currently has a Scott County arrest warrant for three counts of possession of child pornography.
Broom says that detectives began investigating Carter within the last few months and found evidence he was in possession of child pornography.
Carter reportedly drives a 2005 Silver Kia with Missouri license plates of WC3-T8Z and was last known to be an over the road truck driver.

CLAY COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING TRUCK AND TRAILER THEFT
Authorities in Clay County are investigating a truck and trailer theft.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, they are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle.

MULTI WEEK BRIDGE MAINTENANCE PROJECT UNDERWAY IN DUNKLIN COUNTY
Route DD in Dunklin County will be reduced to one lane through early next year as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform bridge maintenance.
The project is located at the St. Francois River Bridge between County Road 203 and County Road 205.
MoDOT officials say that work will take place weather permitting, from 8 am to 2:30 pm daily, through Thursday, January 4th.
CROSSING REPAIRS TO CAUSE CLOSURE OF PEMISCOT COUNTY ROAD TODAY
Route A in Pemiscot County will be closed today so railroad crews can make repairs to a crossing.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the crossing is located between County Road 215 and County Road 213.
Weather permitting, work is scheduled to take place today from 8 am to 5 pm.
