DONIPHAN MAN KILLED IN NORTHEAST ARKANSAS WRECKA Doniphan man was killed over the weekend in a single vehicle wreck in Northeast Arkansas.
According to the Arkansas State Police, a vehicle driven by 63 year old Clifford Summers ran off of State Highway 328 in Randolph County, struck a ditch, and overturned.
Summers was ejected from the vehicle during the wreck. Officials say the incident occurred at around 1:30 am Sunday morning.
MAN ARRESTED ON METH AND MARIJUANA CHARGES IN BUTLER COUNTY Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell us that a Perryville man was arrested last week on a felony meth charge.
31 year old Howard Thilenius was arrested Thursday night in Butler County on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.
He is also facing a charge of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana.
THE DEADLINE TO ABSENTEE VOTE FOR PRIMARY ELECTION IS 5 PM There is still time to vote absentee for tomorrow’s primary election.
According to Butler County Clerk Tonyi Deffendall, today is the final day for absentee voting at the Butler County Clerk’s office.
Deffendall says that the office is scheduled to close this evening at 5 pm.
PAVEMENT REPAIRS TO CAUSE CLOSURE OF WAYNE COUNTY ROAD Missouri Department of Transportation crews will be in Wayne County today for pavement repairs on Route U.
During the repairs, Route U will be closed from Route B to the end of state maintenance
MoDot says the repairs are scheduled to be done from 7 am to 5 pm.
ONE DEAD FOLLOWING INCIDENT NEAR CURRENT RIVER IN CARTER COUNTY A man has died following an incident over the weekend in Carter County.
According to authorities, the man was injured after he jumped from a bluff near Van Buren. He later died at a Cape Girardeau hospital.
The identity of the man was not available.
TEEN IN CUSTODY FOLLOWING PURSUIT WITH POLICE Authorities in Kennett have arrested a teenager in connection to a foot pursuit.
According to the Kennett Police Department, on Sunday morning officers were dispatched to a residence in the area of Providence Road in reference to property damage.
When officers arrived at the area, they noticed a suspect, later identified as 17 year old Miguel Limas, fleeing the scene on foot.
Officers began pursuit and were able to take Limas in custody following a brief struggle.
Limas was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges of property damage and resisting arrest.
DEXTER WOMAN ARRESTED ON CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE WARRANT A Dexter woman has been taken into custody on a controlled substance warrant.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 29 year old Tiffany Michelle Jones was recently arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
As of this morning, Jones remained in jail on a $20,000 cash only bond.
PEMISCOT COUNTY ROAD TO BE CLOSED TODAY FOR PIPE REPLACEMENT Route M in Pemiscot County will be closed today so Missouri Department of Transportation crews can replace a pipe under the roadway.
Weather permitting, work will take place from 7 am to 4:30 pm.
The section Route M to be closed is located between County Road 483 and County Road 489.
